MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
First I apologize for not keeping up to date with my
updates….. I’ve been on cloud nine since the last race of the
year!
For the ones that know me…you knew that I was very determined
to win a championship this year in my father’s name. So…..How
about TWO of them?!!!!
Mother nature was very fierce with the rains during the last
month of racing. What ended up being the final points race for
the 600cc class was the evening that we were able to acquire
the points lead with a victory that evening! What a night of
racing for us. We ran a very determined race. The crew and car
were on point and I was very focused behind the wheel. We went
from our 11th starting position to the lead in a very
dominating fashion. Man that felt good!!! At this point we had
no clue that the last three points races would be cancelled.
We were looking forward to a good battle for the points
championship with the 18d. We would have driven hard and so
would they. Thankfully we were in the right spot at the right
time and became champions.
NOW….I refuse to let it go sounding like we were given this
honor. We worked very hard to dig ourselves out of a hole that
we had placed ourselves in at the beginning of the year. We
really did our homework and I stepped up my game to drive our
Spar powered Hyper as far to the front as I could every race.
Our finishes prove that. Please take a look at our schedule on
this site to view our impressive year. We still had some bumps
in the road but all racers do. We delt with them and
proceeded. (once again thanks to individuals such as Mike
Dicely and Scott Spar)
Well that was one Championship…..now lets talk about the
other. This one for the Forry Motorsport #61 1000cc car was
more than special to all of us. I was so lucky to become
involved with Jason and Heather Forry prior to the ’09 season.
The cause and meaning of what this car brought was a
tremendous motivator. Winning a total of 3 races and numerous
top 5’s had us leading the points early and we never looked
back. This class was great fun and is promoted by a great
group of people that are all about advancement for the class.
Thank you Sidewinder Sprints. The class is full of talent and
we were honored to be competing with them all year.
The Forry’s were there to provide us with everything that we
needed all year long. We are very happy to give them the
ultimate prize in racing as Jason and all the other armed
forces soldiers provide us the freedom to race. Thank You. We
will always remember the car that brought me my very first
open wheel victory.
We had one more event at TW for us to show why we deserve the
track championships. The Kevin Gobrecht Memorial Race. Always
an event that is on the list of races for the best of the best
in micro racing. This event used the familiar points format
that we grew to love as the year went on. We went on to Top
Qualify the event and pace the likes of Mike Dicely, Shane
Lewis, Mike Rutherford and all the big names in the 50 lap
feature event. What a feeling!!!! The race went great for us.
The 44 was very tough and was able to get around me but he did
not get away! We were right there the entire race…..but if you
are goin to finish second to someone….Mike D isn’t a bad
choice!!
Again we were able to leave Trail-way with our heads held high
and wait for the banquet to enjoy our reward. …..which the
banquet was great and so was the after party! (I’ll leave it
at that ;) )
We wish to say thank you to all the owners, sponsors,
additional help, friends and most importantly family. Without
you dreams like this don’t ever come true.
God Bless and watch out next year…….. We aren’t done yet.
Brian “HollyWood” Racine
EVENTS THAT MOTIVATE
We loaded up and headed for Trailway once again this past
Saturday. Both classes once again. These weekends make for
some hectic moments for both driver and crew. We have been
applying steady pressure to the points leader in the 600cc
class for most of the year. Saturday was no different. At the
beginning of the year we started out kinda rough with a 13th
and pair of DNF’s. We had to fight really hard to get back to
the runner up spot in points. We pulled together and did just
that as the season progressed. We have been behind one of the
best 600cc micro drivers in the area. We know as a team that
we have what it takes this year to win a championship. We are
determined.
Warm ups proved to be difficult for the point leader. Without
getting into details, he ended up running a borrowed car and
starting towards the rear of the field in the feature.
Advantage –> us. We had our normal 11th starting position.
Before I tell you how the race went…I have to tell you that
this has this car fine tuned this year. I have never felt a
car like this before. It goes wherever I want. We went green
and I didn’t waste anytime moving forward. Lap six had us in
third. Lap nine….second. The leader had gotten out on the
field a good bit and the race was staying green. We were fast
and I knocked the interval down quickly and found myself
pacing for several laps….waiting. The opportunity arose and I
had an opening. I went to the inside of him going into turn
one. We touched and unfortunately for him…he spun out. I was
clearly there. Anyway, on the restart I was able to give
myself a comfortable lead and for the second time this
year…………..WIN! WIN! WIN! With that we made up a considerable
amount of championship points and took the lead by a slim
margin!!! There are 3 more point races. They won’t be easy. We
aren’t scared one bit.
Sidewinder Sprint!!! While the night was kind of uneventful,
which isn’t a bad thing sometimes! ….we had a decent night of
racing. The heat race started and the car in front of us had
mechanical issues and could not accelerate. We were slowed up
and had to lay back. Once things finally cleared up and
everyone was under way, I managed to get the car up to third
and that’s where we would finish. Strapping in for the feature
I told myself it was all bout patience and maintaining the
point lead. I couldn’t do anything risky. I started 6th. Green
dropped and into turn one where the front row had some issues
and collected at least three cars including one car behind me
that had a nasty flip. (all drivers ok) I managed to make it
though with only a dent in the rear bumper. Whew. We moved up
a row for the restart. Green again and I shot to second and
had my sites set on the race leader. As I quickly found out,
the leader was very fast. I was not goin to catch him. I was
more than happy to settle for second. BUT…. Second was going
to be challenged by the #38. Man….every race I never have to
look far to find him! Thankfully I was able to maintain my
spot. Very happy with second place.
Needless to say we were very satisfied with our racing that
night. Since TW utilizes Speednetdirect.com we were able to
find out very soon afterwards that we were the point leader
now in the 600. To our surprise we did some math to find out
that we have clinched the TW Sidewinder Sprints point
championship!!!! Now this is not official yet but as far as we
are concerned…. The numbers don’t lie!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!
I cant say enough about this team……we deserve everything we
get this year. We have worked hard. The tough times in racing
are difficult to deal with……BUT the good times are
priceless!!!
Come watch us at the famed Williams Grove Speedway this Friday
night to watch us in our 1000cc micro. Then again at Trailway
on Saturday for more 600cc action.
Thanks for the support!

RUNNIN’ WITH THE BEST
This past weekend had us at TW with the 600 PRO SERIES
group…..FINALLY. This event has rained out twice. First of all
we’d like to thank Wayne Lesher and the series sponsors for
giving all of us the chance to run for some bigger purses. The
event was set-up to run just as the speedweek shows did with 2
heats for points and then mains. We like this format….seems
very fair. We started in the back of the first heat and were
able to pass four cars. In the second heat we started on the
pole. Now the way this system works….if you start on the pole,
you better win. We did ;) My point accumulation was enough to
net us an 8th starting position in the A main. Very happy with
that. The field of cars at these shows are jam packed with
talent. The best that the tri-state has to offer. It’s a
pleasure to race with these guys.
We lined up for the main and on the pole was Shane Lewis. This
kat has been batting a thousand this year! Everywhere we go
he’s ballistic! He proved to be the same at this show as he
led the whole thing. Congrats Shane! As for us we had a fast
car but it was a tick loose. I was up to sixth and battling
Mike Rutherford who I was able to get around. Then he got me
back. Dangit. LOL…at least I got him once. We maintained our
pace but could gain no more ground. We finished sixth. We’ll
take that…..car came home in one piece and we ran with the
best.
Now….this Sidewinder is just plain SICK. We had some people
running with us trying out new combos for possible rule
changes next year. Doesn’t bother us. Our car, assuming we
don’t shake all the stinkin’ bolts loose, is one of the most
potent cars out there. In our heat race I was able to sneak my
way into 2nd with #32 in sight. The car was a little bit
loose. The 32 could pull away from me through the corner.
That’s ok….I was fine where I was. Back in the pit area we
chatted about what the car was doin and where I felt I was
losing ground. The guys made a couple simple changes.
On the speedway for the start of the main…we started 8th. We
went green and it was then that I realized that this car was a
rocket ship and it was hooked up!!! Wow…bring it on….I was
pumped. We made a couple laps and I was able to make a pass or
two and the caution came out. We restart and I was able to
pick off two car in turns one and two. Unfortunately, coming
out of two I was to the inside of the #92 when he got into
trouble and then into me. The impact was directly to our right
rear wheel. The force was strong enough to knock the torsion
stop off the other side. I sat in turn 3 as the track went to
a red flag condition as there was carnage everywhere. I sat
for awhile. Finally a tow truck hooked up and got me back to
the pit area. The guys work their butts off getting it back
together but we ran out of time and they went green. We only
the three minutes that they let me sit on the track for. We
weren’t very happy. Oh well….We had what seemed to me and the
guys to be the fastest car on the track and the fastest FMS
#61 we’ve had yet. What a shame. Guess we’ll have something
for them next week when we go back!
LONG OVERDUE
July 18, 2009.... This team finally got what it has deserved
for so long. VICTORY in the 600cc division!!!! ... and then
back it up with our 3rd Sidewinder victory for FMS and Srgt
Jason Forry!!!
I'd like to go into a brief rundown of our team history up to
this point....
In 2005 we entered the 600 scene with our HyperMotive Racing
owned #68. (HyperMotive has been our team organization name
going back to days of drag racing ten years ago) The first
year brought no victories but we were ok with that. 2006 we
sat out majority of the season as we were trying to regroup
and come back out with better equipment and more financial
backing. We did run a 270cc for a short stint. 2007 had us in
a great position as Pancho Lawler stepped up for our team and
had us his Pancho's Racing Products #93 '07 Hyper 600. We
developed a great relationship with Pancho and raced every
race that year. We still never saw a victory that year but it
was an incredible learning year and we were very consistent as
we finished 4th in points at Trail-way. The beginning of 2008
again we decided to take a break but that spring brought us
together with Xtreme Auto & Audio owners Mike Humbert and
Brandy Hayes. We ordered a new 08 Hyper with the works and
were able to race about half of the season. We came close to a
win but still not able to pull it off.
What did we have to do? It seemed like everyone out there has
won except us which was very frustrating.
Over the 08/09 winter many things transpired. We secured more
product sponsors, upgraded components on the car and perhaps
the biggest thing that happened was the addition of the Forry
Motorsports #61 1000cc Sidewinder Sprint and the tribute story
that is associated with it. All of a sudden we had our hands
full! We weren't worried though. Our team has very dedicated
and intelligent crew that is capable of dealing with it all.
I lost my father in September of 08. He is a huge inspiration
for my racing even more so this year as I'm doing everything
in my power to win a championship in his honor. As you know by
now we came out of the gate swinging with the #61 winning the
first two races. That feeling of victory is just amazing after
striving for it for so long. We thank FMS constantly for
giving us the opportunity to race that car.....but something
just doesn't have us satisfied at this point. We still have
not won in the car that we have been trying so hard in. We
paid our dues....We want that win.
Up to this weekend this team has been on point. Minus a few
hurdles through the first half of the year we currently reside
on the top of the Sidewinder Points at Trail-way and are
second in points with the 600 constantly applying pressure to
the current leader. We won’t give up. We promise. I'm in line
to uphold a promise to my father. Things could change for the
worst but we are too focused to let that happen.
Sorry for the preface to this weekend’s story. I just felt it
was important to appreciate what we feel now. We had a
regularly scheduled 600 points race and a $500 to win 1000cc
race to tackle. We have been working hard at fine tuning the
#14. It has been working very well and we have been finding a
couple small things here and there to get us that edge that
you MUST have in this class as the competition is no joke. The
#61 has thrown us a few curve balls in the last few races. We
have worked extremely hard at adjusting that car to bring it
back to the performance that we know it can offer. Everyone
qualified for the nights 600 feature. We just had to make the
invert as usual to give us our normal 11th starting spot. We
finished 4th in the heat. The car was good. The heat race for
the #61 started us 5th. We made it to 3rd.
The 600 feature started as the sun was almost down. We had our
#14 lined up 11th as expected. What can I say this car was on
a rail and FAST! It didn't take long to make my way through
the field. I had settled into third. I was happy just to be
there. I could see the leader and 2nd place. I knew I could
get another spot. There was a caution that was going to help
me....or so I thought. We went green and apparently there was
a very fast 19Z behind me that made a move to my outside that
stuck and sent me back to fourth. He advanced to second and
then I was able to get my third position back. There was
another caution. We went green again and I stuck my nose in
the mix going into one but had to back out and fall in line.
One lap to go....the leaders entered turn three as I kept my
distance and what I could only dream of happening....DID! They
tangled and opened the door for me to see that one flag I had
yet to see coming off of turn four.....
CHECKERS FOR US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot express what I felt. It was unreal...It finally
happened! The stands erupted as I have huge family and fan
base. We all have been waiting for this day. We polluted
victory lane! Nothing felt better than being there with all
the people that make this happen for me. I'm relieved to
finally have pulled this off. Thank you to all that make it
possible.
Whew.....at this point I have adrenalin rushing and also I
have to haul butt to the pit area as my crew has our #61
1000cc car ready for me to head right back out on the track.
It kind of stinks having two classes back to back like that
but thankfully the track understands and so do my fellow
racers....well I hope anyway :) We started 4th for this race.
We had some horrible finishes in previous weeks and it bumped
us up in field with our handicapping system. Green flag drop
and I shot to the inside and was second heading into turn one.
I was following multi-time winner....#32. He has been on a
roll and I knew I was going to have to dig hard to get by him.
We ran a bunch of laps and I was getting closer. Unfortunately
for the leader, coming out of turn four he had a mechanical
failure. Now having the lead I had to settle in and drive!
There was a caution close to the end of the race. The #11 was
right behind which meant I knew this race was far from over. I
started and kept the car to the bottom side of the race track
being very careful not to open up any holes for him to get in
on me. This was kind of hard to do as turns 3 & 4 had some big
ruts that were upsetting cars and making it difficult to make
a clean, fast run through the middle. I pulled him a short
distance enough to keep him back there and to my own
astonishment....
CHECKERS FOR US AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I'm beyond pumped up!!! Unbelievable! The FMS support
group was out in full force in the grandstands all night. Now
they too could join me on the front stretch in victory lane!
One of the best feelings is know that half around the world,
fighting for our freedom, was Jason Forry texting his wife
Heather at 4am going nuts because we gave him yet another WIN.
Needless to say we all went to celebrate. No race cars got
washed that night. ;)

BACK ON TRACK
The weekend of 6/13 we just flat out had no luck while others
did. We didn’t make it past the first corner in the main. We
packed up and rolled out not very happy.
Back to the shop to regroup….repair…and reset our minds.
Unfortunately, this racing thing can play hell on the mental.
Sometimes you just need to stop and walk away for a bit. We
did that and headed back to TW for some more. This week we ran
both cars. Had a make up feature for the sidewinder plus both
regular features. We were busy. While tryin to stay on top of
everything…something can always come up. We had an issue
engine-wise and were having a hard time figuring out. Long
story short….We owe a HUGE thank you to Sam Esh as he
suggested the correct fix. THANK YOU!
The 1000 make up had only 8 cars. I had a tight race car and
could only manage a 4th place finish. We inherited the point
lead.
The 600 was dialed and fast. We were able to apply new
technology to aid us in set-up. An on-car camera. This thing
is sweet. It really can relay info to my guys and to myself
that can help. We used it on both cars. We finished 4th in our
600 heat race and went on to start 10th in the feature and
finish 3rd! The point leader and I had a few good laps with
each other. Unfortunately, we ended up following him across
the finish. What can we say?....we try hard and so does he. It
is what it is. We wer very happy with the performance of the
Xtreme Auto & Audio/ Hyper Chassis/Spar powered/Keizer wheels
#14 .
The regularly scheduled 1000cc race was next and we managed to
loosen up the car like never before. A good thing but we may
have gone too far. The car lost a good bit of forward bite. As
it was obvious on the video. None-the-less we started 6th and
took the green. Right away I knew I was going to have to hang
on and drive a tight line to keep the others behind me. I just
couldn’t make up any ground. We finished 6th. Again, we were
ok with this because we managed to figure something out with
the car that we were missing. Now we can work backwards and
find that perfect set-up. Once we do…competitors watch out for
the National Guard/ Forry Motorsports/ Hyper chassis/ Spar
powered #61.
This weekend starts the 600 speedweek at TW. We race both cars
there. Sunday has us at a Lincoln Speedway and then
Susquehanna Speedway on Thursday. These are the only shows for
us this coming week. Please come out and support us. A victory
is coming our way and we would like you all there in Victory
Lane with us!
Bring It…

JORDAN DOES IT AGAIN!
Jordan went to Hunterstown to lay it down with the HyperMotive
Racing owned, Xtreme Auto & Audio sponsored kid kart. He is
showing his Racine colors no doubt. He is hard on the loud
pedal and that netted him his first win at Hunterstown and his
third win overall. In only his fourth race!!!! Keep up the
good work and soon you can tell your dad how to win!
BEEN WORKIN HARD
We apologize for not updating this site recently. Things have
been hectic in all aspects of our lives. I’m sure you all can
relate!
Brian will be back soon to express his thoughts but for now I
would like to update you and brag a little bit about him. I’m
crew member Kevin Markle.
We will have the results for both classes updated soon. The
past several weeks have been MOSTLY good to us. We’ve had some
consistent runs with the 600 and the 1000. We are constantly
preaching to each other about points racing in both classes as
we are 2nd in the 600 and 1st in the 1000. We try very hard as
a team to stay consistent with our maintenance and car set-up.
Brian’s mindset has never been more solid.
The Spring Nationals had us pumped for a good weekend. Friday
night practice went well. We tried to wait to make some runs
while the track started to take rubber. With 6 different
classes constantly pounding the clay….the track surface was
doomed. Saturday started of great! Brian pulled a #3 pill
putting us on the pole of our heat race. At a show like this
that means the world. We hit the track and jumped out front
with a very fast and eventual springs nats winner Mike Dicely
very close behind. The car really came to Brian. The tires
came in quickly and he started to lay out some lap times. Felt
good to see someone with the skill and speed like Dicely
slowly fall backwards. We ended up being the ONLY car all
weekend that beat him. He was awesome. This set us up for the
front row of the night’s A-main. FINALLY…we had a chance to
win like others who get to start up front. (sry…I’m just
venting about always have to start in the middle of the pack
during weekly shows because we are successful. Oh well…) For
some reason that night just wasn’t meant to be either. On lap
two running second… our engine broke a rod and expired goin
into turn 3. All of our hearts dropped. We were picked by many
to win that 1000 dollars that night. Wasn’t meant to be. Mike
Dicely went on to take the checkered. We of course were seriously
dejected.
Saturday with the 1000 FMS owned car was workin like it did
the opening weeks. Brian just strapped into that rocket and
moved it to the front. Heat race brought some issues and had
to retire.. Mind you there were only 14 cars….Brian would
start the feature 13th!!! Oh well he likes to make the show
interesting and he did! He made some great passes at the start
and then slowly passed cars eventually making it to the front
runners of Shawn Siefert and Jesse Snyder. We were every bit
as fast as them but just did not have enough time to get to
them. On the track we finished third. After a very unfortunate
tech inspection the winner was DQ’d and we ended up second. We
didn’t like that fact.
Back to our 600 engine situation. We try really hard as a team
to gain the respect of our competitors. We had several offers
for engines to borrow for Sunday’s big event. We couldn’t
believe the outreach. To those teams: Thanks you very much! We
regretfully accepted an offer from Mike Dicely to borrow one
of his personal engines. I say regretfully because we are a
very proud team and would prefer to help rather than be
helped. Myself and Tony made the trip Lewisberry to the Hyper
shop and picked the engine up. At this point its about 11pm.
Adam being the main engine guru on the team was back in our
pit area layin in the dirt removing the hurt engine. He was
ready and waiting when we got back. Everybody on the team had
missions and got them done. Thank you to Mike and Brandy,
Jeff, Nicole and Jen. Things got a lil crazy but we had a plan
that worked out just fine. We fired the engine Sunday morning
on the first attempt.
Brian unfortunately didn’t have his lucky charm Sunday morning
when he drew his number. He drew 99. That put us pretty far
back in the heat race. To shorten up the story…the rest of the
day brought nothing but heartache. We couldn’t qualify and
were hoping on a “hat draw” to possibly be the lucky pick to
make it in the race starting 26th. It wasn’t us.
Congratulations to Mike Dicely and crew for pulling off the
big win. Thank you again for lending us the engine.
Sunday 1000 class only had 12 cars in attendance. The track
was not like Saturday and it showed with the #61. He was very
loose and could hardly drive it in the heat race. He did the
smart thing and pulled in instead of taking a chance of
wrecking. AGAIN…we started last in the feature. No worries….he
knows how to make up ground in this car. Very quickly we up to
6th. He was hunting the #38 and was closing in. The main was
30 laps. On lap 24 a side cover gasket had given way and
caused the engine to lose oil and smoke very badly. Caution
came out and Brian regretfully pulled it in and that was that.
A perfect ending to perfect weekend. Well not so much.
So other than being surrounded by great racers and friends for
three days…..we probably should have stayed home. We spent a
bunch of money on tires and engines. Lessoned learned.
Mr Dicely kindly let us use the engine again for the following
race as it was back to points racing for us. Being not far
from 1st, we weren’t about to let the leader gain free points
on us. Scott Spar is busy workin on a new engine for us in the
meantime. We showed up at the track hoping that they had taken
extra time time to revive it from last weeks spring nats. I’m
sure they put their best effort forward but unfortunately the
track just did not come around as it normally does. It went
dry and dusty pretty quickly. Lap times were slower than
normal and we had to try some different set-ups. While we did
not really nail anything down for Brian for the heat race he
still managed to make his way from 8th to 5th and finish
within the invert. So back to the pits and try again. We of
course would start 11th in the feature. Staring at the 10 cars
in front of us…not to mention the cars behind us…we are always
surrounded by really good cars. Brian initially thought the
car was good when he hit the track. It didn’t last. He made
headway initially by passing a couple cars. The car started to
go away. He did his best holding off the car behind us which
was the points leader. Not to mention the 3rd place in points
car that was closing in. Running 6th the leader expired an
engine. This is the point of the story where as spectators we
had no clue what happens in the cockpit. Roughly 6 laps to go
Brian’s helmet shield had blown off. Who would ever think that
could happen? It landed in his lap. Now for those of you that
don’t know Brian or his personality, he wasn’t about to stop.
We are very grateful as is he that nothing happened to him
during those last laps. He made one last pass on a car in the
last set of corners to take 4th coming for the checkers.
Dedication and determination are very key words this year for
our team. The events over the past several weeks prove that.
If we don’t come out on top at the end of the year….It wont be
for lack of trying!!!! We enjoy this sport very much and hope
to finally get to victory lane with our Xtreme Auto & Audio…
Hyper Racing chassis… Spar powered 600cc micro.
WE ARE DO……WE WILL WIN………..HOPE VICTORY LANE IS READY FOR
THAT……..MAKE ROOM
On behalf of BHR and crew,
Thanks for you support and see you this weekend for the Pro
Series Race and the next outing for the FMS National Guard #61
!!!
WARM WEATHER, PATIENCE AND TIRES
With only the 600 on the schedule we all could breath a little
easier. The weather was absolutely awesome. The track was
great and had a ton of traction for the most part. Two or more
lanes of racing make events so competetive. Some simple
changes were made this past week in the shop for this weeks
race. This car reacts very well to change...even minor. The
car felt great through warm-ups, heat race and the feature.
First I'd like to say Thank-You to Bob DuBois from Shadow
Racing Shocks. He took the time out of his busy schedule and
traveled 3+ hours to Trailway. Bob has provided us with shocks
for the past two years. He stands behind his product with
tremendous knowledge and input to us a team to apply it. Our
car has never performed like it is currently on these shocks.
So, if you are running silver, black, blue, gold or red shocks
and feel you are missing something....Contact Shadow at
www.shadowracing.com Try purple.....you'll like it.
The heat race started me 6th. Went into one and there was
traffic that backed up and i ended up getting turned around by
myself. Whoops. Back to the rear of the pack for a complete
restart. Now sitting 8th. Race started and i was fast...not to
mention on a mission. I didnt really care about winning. I
just needed to make the inversion which was 4th. The car did
everything i needed it to. I finished 3rd.
Line up for the feature had us 9th. We did not have the tire
we wish we had. We ran a used one that has seen a good bit of
action. The track was still decent but a little bit more
abrasive. I advanced position up to 5th near the midpoint of
the run. The car felt like the right rear tire was goin flat.
I was signaled that it was ok. Thank God. It was just starting
to fail traction wise. Oh well...just had to do the best I
could. I ran hard but still cautious. There were several
restarts the i was able to take advantage of the car in front
of me. I finished third. Awesome......we were all very happy
with our performance.
its not offical but this weekend should have in the top 3 in
the overall points standing. A few weeks ago we were
scratching our heads askin what we needed to do to get the 600
program rollin. I think we figured it out!!!!

JORDAN FINDS VICTORY
LANE AGAIN!
Once again we went to Susky to get Jordan on the track again.
I cant believe how fast he is picking up this driving thing!
His line is getting better and so is his throttle control. He
won his feature event and is now tied with me for feature
wins. hmmmm....maybe i shouldnt say that!
Jordan, we couldnt be prouder. Keep it up!
NOT EXACTLY IDEAL
Once again we ran both cars this past Saturday. The 600
remains fast and fairly consistent. The heat race we started
5th and ended up 3rd making the inversion. We made a few
tweaks for the main. We started 9th. Car was fast but not like
it has been. The tires came in as the race went and I was
maintaining a 5th place position. I found a line that was fast
during the last few laps. I tried really hard to make a pass
on the 4th place car. I gave one last attempt in the final
corners. Unfortunately, when I went for it on the outside…I
couldn’t pull the pass off and the car behind me took over my
position as well. Oh well… not much I could do. I had to try!
The 1000cc car has been s struggle the past couple weeks.
Myself and my crew are putting in a lot of time into finding a
set-up for this car that I drive. That being said we started
8th and finished 3rd in our heat race. During the warm up laps
before we lined up for the feature, the car was proving to be
a challenge. I was a lil concerned but I would deal with it.
We started and I made it to turn 1, got involved in an
accident and we were done. It just wasn’t meant to be. We’ll
be back with a car that has a new attitude……I PROMISE.
So my weekend was so-so. Its racing and it happens.
The biggest highlight of the weekend happened on Friday night
at the Outback Track at Susky where my son Jordan, WON HIS
FIRST GO-KART RACE!!!!! It was the greatest thing to watch as
he was smilin’ ear to ear. There’s nothing that I can do for
myself that can match the pride that I had for him. He’s
definitely a Racine and he WILL be taking the wheel from me in
the future.
SO CLOSE
We were back in action with both cars Saturday. First up was
the 600. Warm up was a muddy mess. I still got a feel for what
I had to drive for the evening. I liked it. We went out for
our heat race. Started 3rd. It was pretty much uneventful
after an initial restart. We were able to take the lead and
led the race till the end. 2nd place was getting closer but I
had a decent cushion. The car felt really good but it was
tight. The guys got it worked out for the main. We started
4th. The feature was moving along at a quick pace. After
settling in to 3rd place I made focus on 2nd place. Couldn’t
quite reach that position. A caution came out and helped. I
got inside of the 2nd car and took over the spot…briefly….the
new 3rd place then got by me the next lap and back to 3rd I
went. We were fast for the remaining laps but not quite good
enuff. Finished 3rd. Turns out we found an issue with our
engine. Nothing major but enuff to keep us off-power a tad.
That will be fixed by this weekend’s Pro-Series race.
VERY happy to have the Xtreme Auto & Audio 600 up front where
it should be for once this year.
The 1000cc class had 18 entries. Hopefully this number
increases as the year goes. Since we are into handicapping now
we started 6th in the heat race. The car was very tight. I
couldn’t make any head-way. I finished 5th. Still making the
inversion. We started 9th in the main. Bunch of good cars in
front of us. The car was better but still very tight causing
my corner speed to be slower than the weeks before. The car
was still fast down the straights though! I was able to bring
us up to 2nd. I eventually caught up to the leader due to lap
traffic. I was able to challenge him on the last lap and came
extremely close but I couldn’t get by him. He was fast.
Congratulations Sean McAndrew!
Once again thanks to all the sponsors on both cars for keeping
us out there every week. We cant do it without you. We are
stoked about this past weekends results and we’ll bring the
enthusiasm back this Saturday!

NEW WHEEL-MAN FOR XTREME?
Rains put a halt to any racing this weekend. Ashame too…..we
were expecting to have about 70 cars there to compete with. Oh
well. It happens.
You know that wont stop us from at least doing something
racing related right? We took the opportunity to get my son’s
(Jordan..4, almost 5 years old) kid kart ready for his first
practice at Susky April 8th. Turned out we had the kart ready
to go. We had a driver that was ready to hop in the seat too.
So there was a break in the weather Sunday and off to a
parking lot! Jordan got suited up and got in. He knew what
controlled what and just like that he was makin’ laps. Any
concerns that anyone had about him knowing what he was to do
were erased. He made laps like he had already been doing it
for awhile. I’m a proud daddy and cant wait to get him with
some other racers.
Just what the world needs….. another Hollywood! ;)
As far as myself, we are ready to go for another Saturday at
TW with both the 600 and 1000. This time we are back to night
racing. Time to go fast!
See ya there!
BHR
I COULD GET USED TO THIS
Another nice day for racing. Both cars were ready to go
patiently waiting. As was I and the crew. I was still on a
high from the victory the week before.
Our 600cc program felt awesome in
warm-ups. We tried another shock set-up that felt awesome when
the track was heavy. It didn’t quite work out like we hoped in
the heat race. We started 7th in the 5th heat race. That’s
right….5th heat race!! There was 49 600cc cars there!
Apparently the economy hasn’t stop us. The car wasn’t that
great and I finished 5th. They only took 4 to the main. So I
had to run the consolation race of which they would only take
2 to the feature. We lined up 5th. Took the green and I jumped
to the bottom went into one and got tagged from behind. So all
the way to the rear of the 14 car field. That stunk. Once we
got rollin’ I realized that the car was workin great and I
gave everything I had to get to second. 10 laps went by really
fast for me. I was able to pass almost everyone I needed to
except for the second position. We needed a caution flag to
have any chance. Didn’t happen and we had to sit out the
feature. Again, not the way to run for a championship. (but
hey…a few hours later….Fred Rahmer didn’t make the show at
Lincoln Speedway)
The 1000cc program was literally up and down. Car was decent
in practice. We started in the middle of the pack and worked
out way up until I started to feel the car develop a bad push
going into turn and before I knew I was losing control. I
tried to correct it and that made matters worse. Unfortunately
for us and Jason Morrison. That caused both of us to flip and
take us out of the race. We were both ok. The cars not so
much. Did I ever tell you that I love my crew??? Well they
were ready! We had the parts we needed and knowledge to do it
quickly. We all had our hands full, myself included, wrenching
away. Got it ready with time to spare. Jason Morrison was able
to repair his aswell. We starting 6th in the feature. We were
hoping that the car still was in decent enough shape to be
racey. We went green and I was able to grab a couple spots. I
settled in and looked forward. The car was still handling
great and plenty fast. I passed a couple more cars and made it
to second behind Sean Seifert. I slowly started to get closer.
Then there was a caution. Now was my chance. I was able to
read his reaction at the re-start and stayed on his bumper.
Goin into turn one the “door” open just enuff for me to stick
the car in there. It worked. I had the lead coming out of turn
2. I calmed myself down (not easy to do btw) and started to
lay down some consistant lap times according to my crew. I
held on to the lead and took the victory again.
This one will really take time to set in…..I’m still in shock.
Once again I can’t thank my car owners (both classes) my crew,
sponsors, family and fans. This is becoming a habit that I can
handle.
This week….the first Pro Series race for the 600. We WILL be
dialed. I promise.

THIS IS THE TEAM WE
ARE!!!
Well this past Saturday was opening day at Trailway Speedway.
We were all eager to show up and get this hopeful championship
season started. My guys had everything ready to go for both
our Xtreme Auto and Audio sponsored 600cc micro and the latest
addition the Forry Motorsports/National Guard 1000cc micro
dedicated to the troops. During the 600 warm-up we had an over
heating issue. It took a while to get it figured out but as
usual my crew had it worked out and got me out on the track
for our heat race in time. (Man, I love those guys!) Thank you
to the mehring crew for the coolant! We started 4th and moved
our way to 3rd and had a decent car in the process. Car was
real fast and was working on the newly higher banked 1/3 mile.
The crew noticed a problem with our chain tensioner and again
jumped to action to repair that problem and get the car ready
for the main.
Next was the Sidewinder heat race…which by the way, the
sidewinder in warm-ups was INTENSE…WOW. Anyway, the heat race
also had us starting 4th. I was able to get myself up to 2nd
behind a very fast Sean Seifert. We had one issue and that was
our left side wing panel had given up and folded over
mid-race. It stayed on. Once again the crew jumped on that and
got it repaired.
Redraw time. I cannot pull a good pill for the 600 to save my
butt. We started 10th. The 1000cc was a different story we
started 2nd. Its nice to start up front…this was the first
time for me!
The 600 main did not start off too well. Turn one brought a
wreck that collected us. Wrong place…wrong time scenario. We
were able to continue. Wing panel was banged up and the front
axle wasn’t quite where it should have been but the car was
still safe to race. I made my way back up to 13th and then
there was a caution. While making laps waiting for clean up, I
noticed one of my crew pointing me to the pit area. I couldn’t
believe it!! What the heck is goin on?! I get back there and
they were there waiting with a right front tire that
apparently was goin flat and I couldn’t feel yet. We got it
changed and got back out before they went green. Once again
hats off to my crew. So im at the back again looking at the
whole field in front of me. (18 cars left) We went green and
drove hard. Managed to salvage a 13th place finish. I was
upset because this wasn’t how I wanted to start off my run for
a championship but it could have been worse.
Next up was the 1000cc Sidewinder feature. Starting second
helps my confidence a lot. I went out with one goal and that
was to win for the first time with this car, the car owners
and the first time in the class. I was able to beat Rohan
Beasley (one of the class originators) out of turn two and was
able to keep the lead. During the following laps the wing
panel decided to give way yet again. The car got tight and
became a challenge for me to keep it on the bottom of the race
track. That’s were the fast approaching Jason Morrison and
Sean Seifert were coming. I had a mindset and it was all about
victory…victory for my team, owners, family, soldiers and my
father. I wasn’t going to give up. I’m very happy to say that
I was able to defend my spot and take my first ever micro
sprint victory!!!
I paid tribute to my father on the race track in turn 1 where
he always stood. I had to then gather up my emotions and
finally take our team to victory lane where……well…..we cleared
the grandstands. Why? …cause they all were with me! My family
is very large and have been waiting for this day as I have. I
did my interview and tried to keep my composure. That was not
easy. Heather Forry (car owner) then congratulated me and
handed me the phone to which had Srgt. Jason Forry currently
serving in Iraq on the other end cheering!!!
Now that feels good. Kind of story book….but it really
happened that way.
I’m on cloud nine this week and I thank everyone who made it
possible.
God Bless America and I’m off to get ready for the next race!

OPENING DAY!!!!!
Finally after a long off-season…. ITS TIME TO GO RACIN’ !!! We
prepared both race cars, the hauler, the team members and and
my mind. This year is dedicated to victory. Everyone has there
mindset in order for it. We will make a run at a championship
in both classes at Trailway Speedway. We have what we need to
do it…..Great owners, Team members, Families and Fans. We are
very excited this year and are out to impress. Please stay
tuned for my weekly updates as the year goes.
Thanks for the support!!!

1600cc for 2009???
OK…well maybe not but the new year brings good changes and new
additions! I will be piloting not only the 600cc at Trailway
but also a 1000cc sidewinder as well! I am still driving the
600c for Mike and Brandy and their business Xtreme Auto and
Audio. They have been able to supply our team with great
product and what we need to be successful and represent
ourselves professionally. A huge thanks to them for what they
have done and what they will continue to do. Especially in
today’s economy. Look for our #14 to hit the track opening
day.
1000cc racing!!!!!! This story is exciting! A friend of mine,
Sergeant Jason W. Forry, currently serves in the National
Guard and is deployed in Iraq. Last year before he left he
purchased a complete race ready car. His intentions being to
jump in the drivers seat when he returns home. He’s very
excited and can’t wait to get behind the wheel. Jason and his
wife, Heather, discussed about seeing the car on track prior
to his return. To my surprise they asked me if I would be
willing to wheel it! Well, I didn’t hesitate. I made a few
phone calls, talked with my crew to make sure they were on
board with this idea and accepted the offer!!
We sometimes take for granted the fact that we can wake up on
the weekends, load up the toys and head to the race track and
play. We have the right to do that because of people like
Jason and the hard work and effort they put forth protecting
our country. The car will be dressed in the colors of our
nation and will represent itself as a tribute to the soldiers
who fight for our freedom. We could not be happier to be a
part of this and encourage spectators and all others to come
see the car at the York Dirt Trackin show (Sidewinders booth)
and of course on opening day.
I will keep you updated on the progression of our two top
notch teams as the year goes on as usual. Once again we thank
all who support us every week and most of all….
THANK YOU ARMED FORCES FOR OUR FREEDOM!!!!!

KEVIN GOBRECHT MEMORIAL
October 16, 2008
Finally, we got this show in! We were happy to
have this show scheduled for a sat night show and take
advantage of a typical awesome track that TW has provided us
all year. Unfortunately the rain forced it to be rescheduled
for a Sunday which had us running during the day and we all
know what day-time tracks turn into. Not much fun.
We drew a decent pill for the heat. We started on the pole.
The 19z was able to get by me on the first lap as I tried a
line that just wasn’t going to work. My mistake. Didn't do
that again. I was riding in second till a caution. On the
re-start the 19z didn’t take off as I thought he would and I
got into the back of him and turned him a bit. This was purely
an accident. I would not do that intentionally. I did get
around him to take the lead back and went on for the win. Our
first ever heat win mind you. Once back in the pit area I
went to the 19z driver and apologized for what happened. We
discussed it and that was it. All good. I was just happy to
see that he was able to keep going and continue on.
Wouldn't ya know it?... We re-draw for the top twelve spots in
the feature event and with my luck I draw TWELVE!!! Only me.
Lol. So we take the track with a few changes to the car to
compensate for the torture the track saw prior to the mains.
50 laps….I just told myself “patience”. The race was goin
fairly well till there was an accident happening in front of
me and I was forced to spin the car out to avoid it.
Thankfully nothing happened to the car and there were still a
bunch of laps left. Then there was another incident that we
were almost involved in. Made it out of that one too. To the
tail end of the field and started again. We gained some spots
due to attrition and some I was able to pass. We ended up
11th. We’ll take it! The car was in one piece and we finished.
Perfectly acceptable day when you are racing against 24 other
top-notch cars/drivers.
Again I’d like to thank my car owners Mike and Brandy, my
crew…Kevin, Nicole, Adam and Tony and my family for their
support. Without them none of the dream I have been living
would be possible. It means so much to me.
See ya inside at the ROC race where we get to take the pillows
off the car!!!! Can't wait!!!
THE TIMES THAT ARE PAINFUL
October 14, 2008
Sorry it has been awhile since my last update. Recently, my
family, my racing family and friends lost a family member…. My
father, William T. Racine. My father was a racer himself in
his time and passed the torch to four of his sons. I am very
grateful for what he had to teach over the years and all the
memories. He was a strong-willed, outspoken man…..as am I. I
love my father and always will. Thank-You for the sympathies
and gestures over the past couple weeks.
Racing harder than ever…..

FAST
TRACK, FAST CAR, BAD LUCK
September 16, 2008
With the rain threatening we still managed to
get our show in. Hats off to the track personnel. Real nice
racing surface. Our heat raced had us lined up 7th with again
a bunch of good cars in front of us. There was more than one
lane of racing and that helped us make our way to a 3rd place
finish. The car was a bit tight due to some awesome forward
bite. We put our heads together and came up with a couple
changes for the main. We started 10th. The car felt really
good and it was FAST! Then it happened. Goin into one the car
gave way and started to spin. Long story short, I was a
sitting duck staring traffic in the face. One car hit us.
Thankfully, that was it. It was the end of our night. Off on
the hook and back in the trailer. Hate to end the night like
that. Purely a racing incident. It happens and we have to
accept that.
We’d like to congratulate the class champions as well. Good
job all year!
Repairs have been started and the car will be ready to go for
the upcoming big race…The Kevin Gobrecht Memorial. This show
will be at night this year which we all see as beneficial.
Following that race we will have a few weeks off to prepare
for the big race at Linda’s. Then the candy bowl race at the
end of Oct at Susky. We have already entered for the newest
event for 600’s which will be wingless at the Harrisburg Farm
Show Complex on Thanksgiving weekend. We can’t wait!!!
See ya soon!

NOW THAT
WAS FUN!
September 8, 2008
Friday we went to Mechanicsburg to the
infamous Williams Grove Speedway. Knowing that the track is
simply huge for micros, I knew it would be fun. We went out in
warm ups and the car felt awesome. Whether it looked fast or
slow from the stands…it was fun from where I was sittin’! The
car felt very stable/neutral and I could put it anywhere. I
drew a decent number and sat on the front row for our heat. I
was able to jump out to the lead for a bit. The car felt
different this time. We were passed for the lead and ran
second. We went back to chat and see if we could figure out
what was different and what we needed to do. Turns out, I was
driving a certain way that other fast guys weren’t. They were
able to carry more corner speed and that hurt us. With some
suggestion from crew and other spectators, we had a game plan
that should have had us right up front with the other front
runners…..HAD IT NOT RAINED!!!!!!! Man, that just isn't any
fun. What can ya do?
I’d like to thank once again to Dan Little and Trip Kone for
attending and assisting the Grove with the way our part of the
show was running. Great work! Don’t leave this level of our
sport…You are too valuable.
On a serious note, Please keep 358 driver John Westbrook in
your prayers. He was involved in an accident that has left him
with a serious back injury. He currently is listed as stable
but a complete diagnosis isn't available yet. John is a local
uprising 358/410 sprint car hero. We are pullin' for you.
Saturday was rained out at Trail-way. We hate missing shows.
Racing is what we look forward to all week. We will be back
for the last regular show at TW this Saturday the 13th. We
want that first “W”. We feel its comin’.
Stay Tuned kids………See ya there.

RELAXING
HOLIDAY – SUPER SPEEDWAY TIME!
September 2, 2008
We all were happy to have a weekend
that we could spend with our families, friends or do nothing.
It was well deserved. The team prepped the car and then we
took it over to Gateway to display in the showroom. It does
look pretty good with some accent lighting on it at night!
Gateway then had the car outside on Labor Day while they had
hours and were serving free hot dogs/burgers to customers.
Overall, great weather…great weekend.
While our car is dedicated to the Glover family we still don’t
forget the loss of another friend last year….Billy Kimmel.
This weekend was the 1st annual BKMR at the Grove. Very cool
to see the sea of white shirts and Billy’s cars on display.
There aren’t many people on this earth like Billy and we all
miss him greatly. Keep on gassin’ Hot Shoe!
NOW….on to the weekend. This Friday puts us for the very first
time at “the Grove” WOW...this will be an experience for sure.
If there was ever to be a “super speedway” race for micros,
this will be it! We believe we are prepared. So if you are
looking to see something different at the ½ mile speedway,
check out this show. Come out and support us!
The following day has us back at Trailway for a regular show.
We have had decent runs going there and hope to continue.
See ya in the Dirt!!

GREAT
HP... TOUGH STARTING SPOT
August 22, 2008
We eagerly strapped in our new ponies in, went to the dyno and
then made our final changes to the car for the race this past
Saturday at Trailway. Finally we have an engine program in
line that equals to the rest of the high quality parts we have
to work with. As usual warm ups was a tick slippery and made
it tough to figure out where we were set-up wise. I came back
in and we checked over the systems to make sure all was well
and they were…..on to the heat race. This is where it gets
tough for us. Even though our best finish in the 6 previous
races we have run this year (remember we started half way
through the year) has been a fifth place finish, the
combination of heat race finishes and other top tens in
features have unfortunately given us the highest point average
in the class! Even higher than the points leader. For those of
you that understand the handicapping system know that puts us
to the rear of the heat race and also to the 12 starting
position in the main. (assuming we make the invert) Anyway, I
was able to take advantage of the traffic cluster at the start
of my heat race and advanced from 9th to second within two
laps. That felt good. We held on for a second place finish in
the heat. Now for the main….Who would have thought we start
12th and be staring at the backsides of great teams like the
11, 19, 9, 19z, 69 and others. Now that is a FULL plate! We
went green and I then figured out that my hands were full as
the car was loose. Not horrible but enough to keep me busy.
When given the chance I played the adjustments and got the car
a little better. The word of the night was patience. I held my
own, got a few cars and settled for a 7th place finish.
I understand the point of handicapping but man it’s a tough
pill to swallow when you have to start so deep and try to get
by the best the track has to offer. It’s not easy nor will it
ever be. We will just keep trying and hopefully one day soon
all things will fall in line for us and we will be in victory
lane.
…but hey…what fun would it be if it was EASY!!!!
Next race for us is the “GROVE” …That should be fun! See ya
there!
Thanks for the support!

RACERS HELP RACERS!!!
August 15, 2008
Well just when ya think the show is over someone comes out of
nowhere to help save the day! My crew members were out at
Pancho’s doin some chit-chattin with another racer last
evening. When the conversation led to the fact that we didn’t
have an engine to race this Saturday. This person stepped in
and offered us an engine to use!!!! This is simply awesome. As
a team, we always try to help the other racers. It feels great
to have it benefit us aswell. We are VERY grateful! THANK
YOU VERY MUCH KEN LEESE!!!
SEE YA SATURDAY!!!! (man it feels good to say that!)
HollyWood and Team
P.S. - I will have autograph cards available for the kids in
the pit area and also at the photo stand at Trailway.
OFF TO A GOOD START
August 11, 2008
We have been satisfied with our performances so far. We all
know that racing isn’t easy and it will bite you at some
point. Its almost a guarantee! Well unfortunately, after our
6th place finish on Saturday 8/9/08….We lost our engine to
crankshaft failure. It happens…nothing you can do about it. In
this class we squeeze the heck out of these little power
plants. Something has to give sometime. Just have to accept
that fact and move on.
Our team does have another engine BUT it is currently at
well-known local engine builder and is a couple weeks out yet
before we have it in our hands. So it leaves us with only one
option until we get that back…..and that is not race. That is
a hard pill to swallow but a team can only extend itself so
far. So, we will go about our business till its time to come
back and hopefully make sure the competition hasn’t forgotten
us! We are excited to have a fresh engine on the way and that
will finally get us closer to the level of some of the other
teams who seem to have an edge.
See you at the track SOON!!!!
